Residents across Skipton and the surrounding area are being encouraged to nominate local businesses and community champions for the Countryside Alliance Awards 2027.
The annual awards celebrate the people and businesses making a difference in rural communities, recognising everything from village shops and country pubs to local food producers and community heroes.
The awards aim to highlight the contribution of rural businesses and individuals who help support local economies and keep communities thriving.
Residents in Skipton, Ripon and the wider Yorkshire Dales are being invited to put forward nominations for those they believe deserve recognition.
The Countryside Alliance Awards, also known as the Rural Oscars, recognise businesses and individuals who demonstrate dedication to their communities and the countryside.
The awards provide an opportunity to celebrate independent businesses and local people who play an important role in rural life.
Nominations are now open, with the deadline set for Sunday 13th December 2026.
Residents can nominate their favourite rural businesses and community champions through the Countryside Alliance website.
