Public File

Every radio station operating under an Ofcom licence is required by law to have a "Public File" on its website with details of its output.

Your Skipton Radio operates under a DSPS licence held by Your Harrogate Limited. We are regulated by Ofcom and follow the Broadcasting Code to make sure our music and speech content remains suitable for its intended audience.

Programmes

Your Skipton's output consists of music and local information relevant to our audience in North Yorkshire. This includes news, weather, traffic information, details of events, charities and local businesses.

Most of the time our presenters broadcast 'as live', with shows being recorded shortly before items are broadcast. Occasionally shows may be recorded further ahead of broadcast, but they are always designed to be relevant at the time of broadcast.

We aim for all of our output to be 'real and relevant', meaning we offer accurate time-checks, details of active events taking place, updated news reports and current weather. 

News

National news updates are broadcast every hour. Our presenters also talk about news and events happening across Skipton and the surrounding villages. Our news is also available online via this website.

Music

The songs we play are generally pop and chart music from the 1960s to the current day.

Local information

Events and community information can be sent to us via our website or app. You can submit an event via our website by clicking here - and local news can be submitted through our Contact page or by email to radio@yourskipton.com.

Complaints

We ask that you direct any complaints in the first instance direct to us via email to radio@yourskipton.com and we will reply to your enquiry. If you do not receive a satisfactory reply, you may wish to contact the regulator, Ofcom.
