The social media account 'Great British Pub Crawl' visited Skipton to test and try Skipton's greatest pubs naming Skipton 'Little Ibix
The couple from Nottingham have a mission to have a drink in every single pub starting from November 2022.
Their Facebook has amassed over 110k followers.
This week the pair visited 22 different pubs in Skipton.
Starting at 'The Royal Shephard' by the Leeds/liverpool canal the pair then headed to the other side of the bridge to 'The Boathouse Bar'.
As part of their crawl they visited former Pub of the Year 'The Beer Engine'.
In their Facebook post they commented on the pub saying:
" The Boathouse Bar has a brilliant mix of cask and keg offerings on the bar including some top craft breweries amongst the taps.
"A lovely little bar that probably holds about 50 people (and 5 dogs) and its absolute fullest... lovely staff, great vibe and definitely one not to miss..."
The couple continued to micro-pubs including 'Speakeasy' and then to Skipton's classic bar 'The Sound Bar'.
'The Yorkshireman' was another stop to their itinerary which they described as:
"One of the most impressive and unique micro-pubs we've found... and not only because of its too quality landlord and excellent decor... but because they are somewhere that values local produce and ONLY stock alcohol and snacks that are based in Yorkshire... and predominantly the Yorkshire Dale's... it's a belter of a gaff with real morals and I absolutely loved it!"
After their trip, the couple rated their time in Skipton saying:
"We absolutely loved Skipton as a town though, some of the afternoon's pubs were fantastic... can't say I'm too sure where the 'huge party town' reputation has come from though as it did seem to fizzle out a lot earlier than we'd expected... definitely somewhere we will come back to though!"
