Land Rover Experience North Yorkshire moves to new home in Coniston Cold

New development at Coniston Cold.

Land Rover Experience North Yorkshire has moved to a new purpose-built home in Coniston Cold, bringing the official off-road driving experience back to the Coniston Estate.

The centre previously operated from the estate before relocating to Broughton Sanctuary in 2015, while off-road driving activities continued at Coniston without being delivered as an official Land Rover Experience.

The new centre has been developed at the Coniston Estate in response to growing demand and includes a modern facility designed specifically for the Land Rover Experience.

The centre offers access to the Yorkshire Dales landscape, with drivers able to tackle a range of challenging off-road terrain under the guidance of expert instructors.

Experiences include steep climbs, descents, water crossings, rocky sections and purpose-built obstacles.

A range of experiences are available, from one-hour sessions to full-day adventures, with customers able to choose between Range Rover, Defender and Discovery vehicles.

There are also Young Off-Roader experiences for 11 to 17-year-olds, while the centre provides professional training for organisations including emergency services and utilities.

The new development has also repurposed the former Falconry Centre, which had stood vacant for several years, while a new timber-clad building provides workshops, storage and parking facilities.

Land Rover Experience North Yorkshire said:

"We couldn't be more excited!

"We renovated what was an old falconry into a beautiful home for Land Rover Experience.

"The time and effort spent on this build has been incredible.

"A big thanks to everyone who was part of this."
