Students at South Craven School are celebrating after receiving their GCSE and Level 2 vocational qualification results.
Year 11 pupils collected their results today (Thursday, August 20th), following months of hard work and preparation.
The school said students had demonstrated resilience, determination and a positive attitude throughout their time at South Craven, with staff praising their achievements and the progress they have made.
Headteacher Mr Hill said:
“We are delighted by our Year 11 students’ achievements this year.
"I congratulate them for their hard work, resilience and fantastic attitudes throughout their time at South Craven.
“They have been an absolute pleasure to work with.
"I would like to thank parents and carers for their strong support of the school and our staff, who worked so hard to help our students achieve their potential and succeed.”
Head of Year 11, Mrs Wilkie, also congratulated the students on their results.
She said:
“Well done to our Year 11 students on their results.
"They reflect their hard work and determination throughout their South Craven journey.
“I am proud of every one of them and wish them the best of luck for their next destination.”
For many students, today marks the beginning of the next stage of their education.
A number of Year 11 pupils are expected to return to South Craven in September to begin Sixth Form courses, while others will move on to local colleges or start apprenticeship placements.
John Tarbox, CEO of Apex Collaborative Trust, said the relationship between students, families and staff had played an important role in the school's continued success.
“A strong partnership at South Craven between staff, parents, carers and students is a key reason for sustained success of the school - long may this continue,”
The school will continue to offer post-results support to students as they consider their options and make decisions about their next steps.
South Craven has wished all of its Year 11 students every success as they move on to the next stage of their education, training or employment.
