An incredible £56,000 has been raised for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice following this year's Coniston Challenge Day.
The fundraising event brought together 20 teams from across West Yorkshire for a day of friendly competition, with businesses swapping the boardroom for a series of unusual and challenging activities.
Teams took part in clay pigeon shooting, off-road Land Rover driving, zorb football and welly wanging as they battled it out for the overall title.
The event organisers have thanked the businesses, sponsors and supporters who helped make the day such a success, with the money raised helping Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice provide care to people when they need it most.
Adam Brunskill, Regional Team Manager at Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, said:
“We’re absolutely thrilled the Coniston Challenge Day raised such a wonderful total, and so grateful to all the businesses who took part for their generosity.”
The overall winners were Byworth Boilers Limited, who took home the top prize following the day's challenges.
Special thanks have also been given to the Bannister family, The Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa, along with the event partners and sponsors who helped make the fundraising day possible.
The event was supported by Coniston Shooting Ground, Land Rover Experience Yorkshire, KDM Events Ltd and Bibby's of Ingleton Ltd.
The £56,000 raised will help support the vital work of Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, providing care and support for people and their families across the local area.
