Businesses in Silsden are being encouraged to decorate their shop windows for Christmas as part of a new festive competition.
Organised by Silsden Gala, the Christmas Window Competition aims to transform the town into a festive wonderland ahead of its Christmas Fair on Sunday 29th November.
Shops and businesses are being invited to create Christmas displays, from traditional festive scenes to colourful decorations and lights..
Members of the public will be able to vote for their favourite displays between 21st and 30th November.
Each participating business will receive a competition number and a poster featuring a QR code, allowing visitors to vote by scanning it in the shop window.
The competition will also be promoted through the Christmas Fair brochure, social media and online, helping raise awareness of the businesses taking part.
Silsden Gala said:
“Our dream is to see Silsden's shop windows transformed into a festive wonderland, creating a magical Christmas trail for families and visitors to explore during our Christmas Fair on Sunday 29th November!”
“This is about more than a competition.
"It's about bringing our town together, supporting local businesses and creating a little Christmas magic for everyone to enjoy.”
Businesses wishing to take part must register by Sunday 15th November.
To enter, businesses can email silsdengala@gmail.com, after which they will receive their competition number and voting poster.
Public voting will run until Monday 30th November.
