A free pop-up pumpkin patch and monster trail are returning to Skipton for Halloween.
Skipton BID is funding the half-term event, which will bring more than 200 pumpkins to the Canal Basin on Thursday 29th October, between 10am and 4pm.
Before entering the patch, families must complete a Monster Trail around the town centre, searching for 10 ghosts and ghouls hidden in local businesses to uncover a mystery password.
Once they have completed the trail, visitors can grab a wheelbarrow and choose their pumpkin before joining a free carving workshop to get it ready for Halloween.
Sarah Howsen, Skipton BID Manager, said:
“We’re excited to once again bring some special Halloween fun into Skipton town centre.
“The pop-up patch is always so popular and we’re looking forward to seeing you all on the day.
“It’s a great chance to get your pumpkin carving done, free of charge ready for the trick or treaters!
“But, don’t forget you need to tell us the hidden password by finishing the trail before you can enter…”
Families can also enjoy entertainment from a mischievous scarecrow and pose for a photograph at a ‘face in the hole’ attraction.
Free Halloween-themed crafts and other activities will take place around the pumpkin patch throughout the day, including a stall hosted by Creative Peeps.
The Monster Trail will run from Saturday 24th October until Sunday 1st November.
Anyone who completes the trail and submits their sheet with the mystery passphrase will be entered into a prize draw to win a range of Skipton-themed gifts.
