Cracoe farming content creator, Tom Carlisle, is set be part The Yorkshire Farming Conference when it returns in January following its successful debut earlier this year.
The event will take place at the Great Yorkshire Events Centre in Harrogate on Wednesday 27th January 2027, organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
Farming content creator Tom Carlisle, known to his followers as "The Dalesfarmer," will lead a social media session alongside fellow farmer and influencer, Rebecca Wilson. The NFU’s Clare Wise will be among the session chairs when the event returns in 2027.
The first conference attracted more than 700 farmers and agricultural workers, with industry speakers discussing a range of farming topics. More than 60 businesses and organisations also supported its sold-out trade show.
The three joined organisers for the conference launch today (Friday 9th October).
David Tite, Manager of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, said:
“We received some fantastic feedback on this year’s event which really seemed to strike a chord with attendees so we want to build on that with a second event.
“We are already hard at work lining up speakers and I am delighted some of them were able to join us for the launch of the 2027 Conference.”
Tom is a fifth-generation sheep and beef farmer from the Yorkshire Dales, running 650 sheep and 35 suckler cows on his 420-acre hill farm.
He shares the highs and lows of farming through his social media channels, giving audiences an insight into life on a traditional Dales farm.
His work was recognised with the YAS/RABI Award for Outstanding Achievement in Farming and Agriculture at this year’s Great Yorkshire Show.
Tom said:
“I’m very excited to be involved in this year's Yorkshire Farming Conference.
"After the success of last year’s event it’s a pleasure to be involved once again to share my knowledge and insights into the industry as well as learning from others.”
Rebecca is a fifth-generation farmer, podcaster and advocate for British agriculture who was named in The Times Young Power List in 2025.
She works to give farmers a stronger voice in conversations about food, sustainability and the environment.
Rebecca said:
“Farming never stands still! More than ever, connection, communication and knowledge exchange are vital as we navigate the ever-changing world of agriculture.
"The Yorkshire Farming Conference brings all of that together, and I’m excited to be part of it in 2027.”
Clare chairs the NFU Livestock Board and its Regional Livestock Board, North, and runs her family’s fifth-generation sheep, cattle and arable farm in County Durham.
Her interests include animal health and welfare, new farming technologies and preserving traditional stockmanship skills.
Clare said:
“In a volatile global economic situation and climate, ‘every field and every farmer’ are essential not only to the wonderful landscape and culture of Yorkshire but in keeping our national security by feeding the nation.
"I am delighted to be part of this event celebrating our wonderful farming industry.”
The conference will also showcase the Yorkshire Agricultural Society’s farming networks and its work to support education, development and innovation.
These include Future Farmers of Yorkshire, Farmer Scientist Network, Yorkshire Rural Support Network, Women In Farming and Yorkshire Food, Farming and Rural Network.
Tickets go on sale on Monday 19th October, with prospective visitors able to register their interest now.
