More than £1,600 has been raised for Cancer Support Yorkshire at this year's Skipton Business Awards.
The charity was selected by Skipton BID as its charity partner for the awards, which brought together businesses from across the town earlier this month. A total of £1,631 was raised on the night through raffle ticket sales and donations. The money will support Cancer Support Yorkshire's Skipton and Craven Hub and its work helping people affected by cancer across the local community. Cancer Support Yorkshire said: “We are incredibly grateful to Skipton BID for choosing Cancer Support Yorkshire as their charity partner for this year’s Skipton Business Awards. “A phenomenal £1,631 was raised on the night, which will make a huge difference to our Skipton & Craven Hub and the support we can offer to people affected by cancer across the local community. “A heartfelt thank you to the BID for their generosity, those who bought raffle tickets or made donations on the night, and everyone who kindly donated raffle prizes. “Every contribution has helped make this possible, and we are so grateful for your support. “Thank you for helping us make a difference in Skipton & Craven!”
