Conservative MP, Julian Smith has asked local schools to apply for the Kellogg's breakfast club grant of £1,000.
The Kellogg’s Breakfast Club Grants Scheme is a program established by Kellogg’s to support schools in the UK by providing funding for breakfast clubs.
The aim of the scheme is to ensure that children have access to a healthy breakfast before school.
Schools can apply for grants, typically up to £1,000, to help fund their breakfast clubs.
The money can be used for purchasing food, equipment or covering running costs.
By offering financial support the scheme enables schools to either establish or maintain these clubs, particularly in areas where children might not have access to nutritious meals at home.
Julian said,
“Applications for this year’s Kellogg’s Breakfast Club Grants are now open and I am urging all schools in Skipton and Ripon to apply for a grant of up to £1000 to help fund their breakfast clubs.
It is really important that children start off the day with a nutritious breakfast to ensure they can concentrate and learn throughout the day while supporting physical growth.”
Schools can apply for a grant via the Kellogg’s website here.
