People can now explore The Folly and the Museum of North Craven Life online while restoration work continues on the historic Settle building.
The museum has launched a free digital guide through the Bloomberg Connects app, giving visitors access to information about the Grade I listed building, its collections and the history of North Craven during the temporary closure.
The Folly is currently undergoing restoration work supported by the Museum Estate and Development Fund.
While the museum galleries remain closed, the new digital guide allows people to continue learning about the site from home or while visiting Settle.
The guide includes information about the history of The Folly, highlights from the museum's collections and stories connected to the North Craven area.
Additional content is expected to be added over the coming months as restoration work progresses and preparations continue for the museum's reopening.
Scaffolding has been erected around the building as work takes place to restore the exterior, while inside, conservation work is uncovering historic features including exposed stonework and timber beams.
Despite the museum closure, The Folly Coffee House remains open from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday, throughout the restoration project.
Dr Caitlin Greenwood, Heritage Development Officer at North Craven Building Preservation Trust, said:
"The Folly is going through a really important period of change, but we do not want people to feel disconnected from the museum while the building works continue.
"Our new Bloomberg Connects guide means people can still explore The Folly, learn more about the building and discover stories from North Craven, even while the museum itself is closed.
"It is also a lovely way to share more of the work happening behind the scenes.
"The guide will continue to grow, with more content being added as we move towards reopening and as the next chapter of the museum takes shape.
"And of course, The Folly Coffee House remains open, so people can still visit, enjoy the building and keep in touch with what is happening on site."
The digital guide can be accessed free of charge through the Bloomberg Connects app, via a web browser or by scanning QR codes displayed at The Folly.
The Folly has said it will continue to share updates on the restoration project, future exhibitions and events as work on the building continues.
