Skipton pub reopens following refurbishment with new dining room and menu

The pub will also continue to host its regular Wednesday evening quiz.

A popular pub in Skipton has reopened following a refurbishment, featuring a refreshed bar, an updated dining room and a new food menu.

The Cock & Bottle has welcomed customers back after completing improvements to both its downstairs bar and upstairs dining area.

The refurbishment has been designed to give the pub a fresh look while retaining its traditional character.

Downstairs, the original exposed stonework, timber beams and wooden bar have been complemented by new seating, warmer lighting and updated décor.

The upstairs dining room has also been transformed, with patterned wallpaper, upholstered chairs and new lighting creating a relaxed space for lunch, dinner and family gatherings.

Work has also taken place behind the scenes in the kitchen, with food service now returning alongside a newly developed menu.

Diners can choose from traditional pub favourites, handmade pies, burgers and Sunday roasts, including a sharing roast for two.

The pub will also continue to host its regular Wednesday evening quiz.

The team behind The Cock & Bottle said the aim of the refurbishment was to create a welcoming environment for both regular customers and new visitors.

They said:

“For us, this has always been about creating somewhere people feel comfortable coming back to, whether that’s for a pint at the bar, a meal with family or our Wednesday evening quiz.

“We want our regulars to feel at home and give people who haven’t visited before a reason to come through the door.”

The team also thanked those who helped complete the refurbishment and customers for their patience while the work was carried out.

They added:

“It’s taken a lot of hard work to bring everything together, and we’d like to thank our team, everyone involved in the refurbishment and our customers for their patience and support.

“We’re proud of how it’s come together and excited to welcome people in to see the changes.”
