Police have been carrying out speed checks on Bolton Road in Addingham following concerns raised by local residents.
According to the police, some residents estimated that vehicles had been seen travelling in excess of 80mph.
On the day of checks, the highest speed recorded was 38mph in the 30mph limit.
Police say:
"We will continue to carry out checks in the area and deal with offenders accordingly."
