Skipton woman celebrates 70th birthday trading gifts for donations to Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Juli with her family.

A Skipton family has celebrated a milestone birthday with a generous donation to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Juli recently turned 70 and, instead of asking friends and family for traditional birthday presents, asked them to make donations to the charity.

Juli said she already had everything she needed and wanted to use her birthday as an opportunity to give back to a service which provides vital support to communities across Yorkshire.

Thanks to the generosity of her friends and family, the family raised an impressive £1,000 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Her daughters Sally, Claire and Emma said they were proud to share the story and highlight their family’s support for the charity.

They said the fundraising was a “true reflection of the love and support” their family has for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The charity provides a rapid emergency response to seriously ill or injured people across Yorkshire, with its helicopters helping to reach patients who need urgent medical attention.

The family hopes the donation will help spread awareness of the work carried out by Yorkshire Air Ambulance and encourage others to support the charity.
