Love Boutique Skipton reopens at new location after rising costs force move

Love Boutique in its new location.

A Skipton boutique has relocated to new premises after rising business rates and increasing costs forced the closure of its former town centre shop.

Love Boutique Skipton has moved to 2a Lower Union Street, just a short walk from Skipton Bus Station.

The boutique was previously located on Victoria Street.

The boutique’s owner announced the move on social media, explaining that the previous shop had become too expensive to continue operating from due to “excessive business rates and rising costs”.

The new premises are located off Keighley Road, over the humpback bridge from the bus station, with the shop situated at the first turning on the left.

The owner said the move was made as an alternative to closing the business altogether.

The owner said:

“However !!!! Ive RE-LOCATED (Yes its off the beaten track), but it was either this.. or I closed down...!”

Customers have been encouraged to continue supporting the independent business at its new location.

The owner added:

“Please support, ive done my best to keep going for you all.

"Sorry for any inconvenience I look forward to your visit.”

Love Boutique Skipton is now open at 2a Lower Union Street, Skipton, BD23 2ND.
