Residents are being invited to share their views on planned improvements to the Sharphaw play area in Skipton as part of a consultation by North Yorkshire Council
The council is looking to upgrade the play area, which currently has a limited range of equipment. Some play items have been removed over time and not replaced, while the remaining equipment, safety surfacing, and fencing are now in poor condition. For safety reasons, the play area has been temporarily closed while improvement plans are developed. Through this public consultation, North Yorkshire Council hopes to gather feedback from local residents and users of the site to help shape the final proposals. The responses will be used to identify what new features and facilities are most needed. Residents can complete the online survey by Sunday 30 November 2025. Sharphaw Play Area is located on Sharphaw Avenue, Skipton, North Yorkshire, BD23 2QJ. Survey link: North Yorkshire Council – Improvements to Sharphaw Play Area
