Whinfield Bowling Club has announced that the Town Mayor of Skipton will officially open their Open Day.
Councillor Winston Feather, will officially open their free Open Day on Sunday 12th July as part of the national Bowls Big Summer Campaign.
The Mayor will help welcome visitors to what promises to be a fun-filled day, introducing people of all ages to the enjoyment of Crown Green Bowling.
Two sessions will be available:
• 10.00am – 12 noon: Families and children (accompanied by a parent or guardian)
• 1.00pm – 3.00pm: Adults
The Open Day is designed for complete beginners as well as those who may be returning to the sport after many years.
All equipment will be provided, and attendees simply need to wear flat shoes or trainers.
Visitors will have the opportunity to try bowling in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, meet club members, and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
Crown Green Bowling offers gentle exercise, social interaction and friendly competition, making it an ideal activity for people looking to stay active and make new friends.
