Skipton's Sackville Street features in Tesco Christmas advert

The advert stars comedian Roisin Conaty and actress Anna Maxwell Martin.

Skipton's Sackville Street has made an appearance in Tesco's new Christmas advert for 2026.

The supermarket unveiled its festive campaign on Sunday (1st November), with the three-minute film titled The Wrong Address.

The advert stars comedian Roisin Conaty and actress Anna Maxwell Martin as two former school friends who unexpectedly reunite after a Christmas food delivery goes wrong.

Maxwell Martin plays Lizzie, who accidentally orders her Christmas shopping to her former address, hundreds of miles from her current home.

Conaty plays Tesco delivery driver Polly, who recognises her old friend's name and offers to help get the shopping to her in time for Christmas.

Their plans take an unexpected turn when car trouble leads to a festive road trip, giving the pair an opportunity to reconnect.

The advert is set to The Police's Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic and focuses on friendship and acts of kindness during the festive season.

The campaign made its television debut on ITV on Sunday evening during Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, with a shorter 60-second version of the film.

The appearance of Sackville Street gives Skipton a place in one of this year's major Christmas advertising campaigns.
