Silsden Town Hall has been named Social Enterprise of the Year at the 2025 Keighley & Airedale Business Awards
The award recognises the town hall’s strong contribution to the local community, and the many volunteers and organisers who help to run its programmes and maintain its facilities.
The Keighley & Airedale Business Awards took place at Victoria Hall in Keighley on 26th September.
The annual event recognises excellence among businesses across the region, with categories ranging from sustainability, new business, food & drink, retail, professional services, social enterprise, and more.
There were also awards for Retailer of the Year, Health & Wellbeing Business, Professional Services, among others.
Omega Solutions in Cross Hills bagged the Professional Services Business of the Year award.
Silsden Town Hall is a community hub in Kirkgate, Silsden, which serves as a library venue, heritage centre, events space, and cultural resource.
It is home to Silsden Community Library, Silsden Local History Group, and hosts a wide variety of clubs, classes, concerts, theatre, comedy and other events.
Clubs and classes include fitness, yoga, dance, performing arts, to wellbeing groups.
The building originally opened in 1894 as a mechanics’ institute, built to promote adult education, public lectures, reading, and community gatherings.
