Silsden hair and beauty business celebrates expansion

A Silsden hair and beauty business has expanded into new premises following the transformation of a building opposite its original salon.

The Lounge, on Briggate, has officially opened its new hair and beauty salon, with Keighley and Ilkley MP Robbie Moore visiting to mark the occasion.

The family business is run by Silsden sisters Jody Ellis and Jade Whitehead, who have purchased and transformed the building opposite their original premises.

The expansion has created a larger, modern space for customers and will allow The Lounge to offer more services and create further employment opportunities.

Mr Moore said:

“It was great to visit Jody and Jade, and the team at The Lounge as they officially open their fantastic new hair and beauty salon.

“After expanding into the building opposite their original premises, The Lounge team have carried out a brilliant transformation, creating a modern space that will allow them to continue growing their business.

“It’s always brilliant to see local family businesses go from strength to strength, investing in our high streets and creating new opportunities within our local community."

He added:

“Congratulations to Jody, Jade, and the team – I wish them all the very best for the future as they continue to grow their business.”
