Skipton's Neighbourhood Team have shared information regarding spiking in time for New Years Eve.
North Yorkshire Police for Craven shared their concern for spiking incidents during tonight's celebrations.
There is no current information highlighting that this type of crime is on the rise however it has become a problem over the past few years and reports of spiking incidents do take place.
The team said this on Facebook:
"Tonight there will be an increase in people attending Pubs/Clubs/Bars in Skipton and the wider area and so it is a good idea to be aware of ways to stay safe and enjoy your night out"
