Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision involving a dog near Settle.
The incident happened at around 12.50pm on 16 December 2025 on High Hill Lane, outside Settle.
A small black dog, a Lhasa Apso, was struck by a vehicle described as large, which did not stop at the scene.

The dog sadly died at the scene as a result of her injuries.
Officers say it is possible the driver may not have been aware that they had hit the dog.
Police are now asking the driver, as well as any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicle shortly before the incident, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.
