New trustees join Skipton's Children Charity

Fraser joins the The Principle Trust team

A Skipton children’s charity is supporting more of the region’s disadvantaged children by appointing a new trustee.

Fraser Gowland, Director of bookkeeping and accountancy firm FOAMMS, has joined the board of trustees at The Principle Trust, which provides respite breaks for children who are underprivileged, disadvantaged, disabled, have life-limiting conditions or have experienced poverty, trauma or abuse.

Fraser is a long-standing supporter of The Trust, providing management information and accounting services, as well as fundraising for the charity.

His appointment reflects The Trust’s ongoing plans to expand its operation across the Yorkshire region in response to a cost-of-living crisis which has exacerbated the challenges faced by underprivileged families.

Commenting on his new role, Fraser said"

“Having supported The Principle Trust for several years, I’m delighted to be joining the board of trustees as the charity continues to grow in response to the needs of some of our region’s most disadvantaged families.”

Andrew Davies of the Principle Trust added,

“Since The Trust was established in 2011, we have helped thousands of disadvantaged, disabled and poorly children to escape their everyday troubles and create valuable, happy memories.

"Fraser’s background in financial management has proved a huge asset to The Trust and we welcome his appointment as a trustee, as we continue to extend our services to families across Yorkshire.”
