Local MP for Skipton and Ripon has shared an update on the works at Kex Gill.
The MP spoke to North Yorkshire Council and has provided a further update on progress at the A59 Kex Gill realignment scheme, with work continuing to move forward on the long-term improvement project.
The council says all major structures are now in place, and the new carriageway is beginning to take shape as the scheme enters its final phases.
As the remaining work is carried out, some temporary disruption is expected over the coming weeks.
Church Hill will be closed at its junction with the A59 for approximately eight weeks between February and April while new layout works are completed.
It has been announced there will be some overnight closures of the A59 to allow resurfacing to take place.
Maintenance work is also continuing on the River Washburn bridge.
Traffic lights will remain in operation at the site until around mid-February.
Kex Gill will open to traffic in early June.
North Yorkshire Council is advising road users to plan ahead and check the latest information before travelling.
