Applications are now open for Skipton Sheep Day, an annual event celebrating the town’s heritage.
The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 28th June 2026, and Skipton Town Council is inviting traders, community groups and local charities to apply to take part.
The event brings Skipton town centre to life with a range of activities and attractions.
These often include sheep-themed events, craft and market stalls, family activities, food and drink, live demonstrations, and opportunities for local businesses, charities and community groups to showcase their work.
In some years, sheep are brought into the town centre to reflect Skipton’s historic role in the wool and livestock trade.
Those interested in being involved are asked to submit an application by 5 pm on Friday, 13th March 2026.
Applications can be completed online, and support is available for anyone who may need help with the process.
Skipton Town Council says the event provides an opportunity for local organisations and businesses to engage with the community while contributing to a celebration of the town’s identity and heritage.
Traders can apply to be a part of the event here.
