The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for both strong winds and heavy snow in our area on New Year's Day.
The yellow warning for heavy and persistent snow will be in place from 1am on Wednesday 1st January until 3am on Thursday 2nd January.
The yellow warning for strong winds will be in place from 1am on Wednesday 1st January until 6am on Thursday 2nd January.
Both may bring disruption to travel throughout the day on Wednesday and Wednesday night.
Windy weather is also expected New Years Eve, Tuesday 31st December, a Yellow Warning for strong winds is in place for Tuesday, just outside our area, north of Settle.
