A popular beer and gin festival is returning to Glusburn this weekend with local drinks, food and live music.
The Glusburn and Cross Hills Beer & Gin Festival will take over Glusburn Institute on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd October.
More than 20 cask and keg beers will be available alongside artisan gins, lager and cider, with drinks purchased using the festival's token system.
There will also be a packed programme of live music, beginning with Hit The Lights Band on Friday evening.
Saturday's line-up includes Sharp Dressed Men, Taila-Mae, Daniel Chapman and Sarah Widdup during the afternoon, before Night Patrol perform on Saturday night.
The Institute's Old Chapel will be available as a quieter area away from the live music, while Dave's Artisan Wood-Fired Pizza will provide food throughout the weekend.
Money raised from the festival will support the running and upkeep of the Grade II listed Glusburn Institute, as well as 1st Kildwick and Farnhill Scout Group.
Organisers said:
“The Beer & Gin Festival has become a highlight in the calendar at Glusburn Institute.
"It's about much more than just beer and gin – it's a chance to bring people together, showcase some brilliant live music and create a great atmosphere in the building.
“We're incredibly grateful to all the local businesses who support the festival through sponsorship, as well as all the volunteers who help make the weekend happen.
“Most importantly, the festival raises valuable funds for both Glusburn Institute and 1st Kildwick and Farnhill Scout Group.
“Both organisations play an important role in our local community, and the support people give simply by coming along and enjoying the weekend makes a genuine difference.”
This year's festival is sponsored by Leightons Estate Agency, alongside a number of local businesses sponsoring individual barrels.
Tickets provide admission throughout the festival, allowing visitors to come and go across the different sessions.
Organisers added:
“Advance ticket sales have been fantastic this year, and we're now very limited on pre-booked tickets, so we'd encourage anyone planning to join us to get theirs booked.”
The festival will run from 4 pm until 11.30 pm on Friday 2nd October and from midday until 11.30 pm on Saturday 3rd October.
Both cash and card will be accepted.
