Yorkshire Day is set to be another action-packed day in Skipton, with events organised by Skipton BID.
On Thursday 1st August, visitors are invited to take part in the free fun activities taking place on the High Street between 10am and 4pm.
Festivities include live music from the Flat Cap Band and the Great Yorkshire Morris will be entertaining crowds throughout the day.
There will also be fun for the children with Yorkshire-themed crafting, face painting, Yorkshire quizzes and even a rodeo sheep!

Giant games will line the High Street and the football lovers out there can test their skills on the inflatable Football Shoot Out.

- 10am - Event Opens
- 10.30am - Morris Dancers
- 10.45am - 11.45am - Dialect talk in Skipton Library
- 11.15am -11.45am - Flat Cap Band
- 11.49am - Yorkshire Proclamation by Town Crier on High Street
- 12pm - Morris Dancers
- 1.15pm -1.45pm - Flat Cap Band
- 2pm - Morris Dancers
- 3pm - 3.30pm - Flat Cap Band
- 4pm - Close
Sarah Howsen, BID Manager said:
“Yorkshire Day was a great success last year even though the sun didn’t shine, and we are hoping this year will be a bigger success.
"There will be a full day of free family entertainment so we hope everyone will come along and celebrate what it is to be from Yorkshire.”
Everything taking place on the day is free of charge. The event is organised by Skipton BID and supported by Skipton Town Council.
