An Opticians has announced its latest sponsorship deal with Skipton RFC.
Specsavers Skipton on Swadford Street, which is locally owned and run, provided the club with £500, which has been put towards kitting out the men’s second team with a fresh new uniform for the next two seasons.
Skipton RFC is one of the world’s oldest Rugby Clubs, founded 150 years ago last year - and has won the coveted Yorkshire Cup multiple times.
Olivia Bell, chairman at Skipton RFC, says:
‘We're excited to welcome Specsavers Skipton as one of our new sponsors. The team are proud to be supported by a locally owned and run business and are looking forward to trying out their updated kit.
‘We’re truly thankful for our sponsors - as a grassroots club, it’s not always easy to provide the equipment our players need. Such generous support makes a huge difference, allowing us to showcase our club and the talent of our teams. We hope this encourages others to join us in celebrating this sport."
Caroline Sullivan, store director at Specsavers Skipton, adds:
‘At Specsavers, we're proud to serve our wonderful customers and community. When we learned about the sponsorship support, we were excited to get involved and give back to local sports groups like Skipton RFC, as they play a key role in bringing people together and providing them with a space to build friendships.
‘Everyone in store is proud to know they’re being represented on the team’s uniform. We wish them the best of luck and hope they score many tries this season!’
