We are delighted to announce that Rombalds Radio is becoming even more local and expanding to become two hyper-local radio stations called Your Skipton and Your Ilkley.
Rombalds Radio will transition into Your Skipton from Monday 1st July.
Every day you’ll hear all about the best of life in Skipton - from the market on the high street to the great activities at the Town Hall. Your Skipton will be supporting all the big events from the Gala to Sheep Day to the Santa Fun Run and Christmas markets.
Your Skipton will also be the headline sponsor for the 2024 Skipton Business Awards and is delighted to be working with Skipton BID as launch partner for the town's new dedicated radio station.
Meanwhile, Your Ilkley will launch on Monday 8th July and in our first week we will have special event coverage from the Ilkley Half Marathon.
Your Ilkley will be the first-ever fully focussed radio station for Ilkley and surrounding areas including Menston, Burley in Wharfedale and Addingham.
We hope to broadcast both Your Skipton and Your Ilkley via DAB digital radio in the coming months once a new multiplex covering this area has been licensed by the government media regulator, Ofcom.
Breakfast show presenter Nick Hancock is excited for the launch. He said: “All the team here can’t wait to get started!
"We are going to have some fantastic prizes to give away from local businesses so make sure you follow us on social media, as well as listening every day!”
