Only one more day left to enjoy Skipton Cinema Days this summer

There's just one day left for film fans to enjoy Skipton's free outdoor cinema this summer

Organised by Skipton Town Council, the final event of the season will take place on Friday, 4th September, offering two free screenings for families and film lovers.

The afternoon begins at 2.15pm with Paddington, following the adventures of everyone's favourite marmalade-loving bear in a family-friendly screening.

Later in the evening, at 7.15pm, audiences can enjoy the iconic classic Dirty Dancing, bringing the summer programme to a close with its unforgettable soundtrack and famous dance scenes.

Tickets are free but must be booked in advance, with only 175 tickets available for each screening, which can be booked here.

Organisers are encouraging people to reserve their places quickly, as demand is expected to be high.

Skipton Town Council shared their delight for the success of last weeks screenings, whilst showcasing the crowd:

"A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for last week’s Skipton Cinema Days.

"We hope you had as much fun watching the films as our audience did during Mamma Mia.

"A special thank you to Blue Sky Cinema for partnering with us and helping make this fantastic community event possible.

"We couldn’t have done it without you."

A limited number of deckchairs will be available on site, although visitors are welcome to bring their own camping chairs or blankets for added comfort.

Guests can also bring their own food and drinks, although glass bottles are not permitted.

Refreshments will also be available to purchase during the event.

The outdoor screenings at Skipton Canal Basin have proved popular throughout the summer, attracting families and cinema-goers to enjoy films in the open air.

Anyone hoping to attend the final event is encouraged to book soon before tickets are fully allocated.
