Nominations open for Local Pub Awards 2026 for Skipton and Ripon

The Woolly Sheep Inn, Skipton.

Residents across Skipton and the surrounding area are being invited to nominate their favourite local pubs and hospitality staff as nominations open for the 2026 Local Pub Awards.

The awards, organised by Skipton and Ripon MP Sir Julian Smith, return following last year's event, with the aim of recognising the pubs and people who make a difference in their communities.

Four categories are open for nominations this year:

  • Best Pub
  • Best High Street Pub
  • Best Rural Pub
  • Staff Member of the Year

The awards are designed to celebrate everything from village locals and town centre pubs to landlords, bar staff and other hospitality workers who go above and beyond for their customers.

Announcing the awards, Sir Julian Smith said:

"Nominations are now OPEN for my Local Pub Awards 2026.

"Following the success of last year's awards, I'm once again inviting you to nominate the pubs and hospitality staff who go above and beyond.

"Whether it's your local landlord, bar staff or the pub that's the heart of your community, now's your chance to celebrate them."

People can submit one nomination in each category by emailing julian.smith.mp@parliament.uk with the name of the pub or staff member they wish to nominate, along with the relevant award category.

The awards are open to pubs and hospitality staff across the Skipton and Ripon constituency.
