Many motorists were left stranded in North Yorkshire on 1st January due to heavy flooding.
On Wednesday morning, River Ure burst its banks causing heavy flooding on the roads.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called out to over 4 incidents of motorists being stuck in their cars due to the flooding.
Calls were made to Skipton, Hawes, and Masham from Wednesday evening to early morning.
Another motorist was left stranded behind the wheel of a car near the village of Wensley, in Wensleydale.
A flood alert, issued by the Environment Agency, was in place for New Year's Day for North Yorkshire.
Many celebratory plans for the New Year were canceled in the area due to safety concerns.
