The villages of Kildwick and Farnhill are coming together to host a Summer Gala this month.
The event takes place on Saturday 15th June, with all residents invited to join in the fun by decorating their door or gate - or both!
The theme is 'A Taste of Summer' and there will be a map of all houses which are taking part, with a vote taking place to select villagers' favourite. A £60 voucher for Coffee and Crumbs is the prize for the winner. Those taking part need to have their decorations done by Sunday 9th June ready for people to complete the trail and vote. The house with the most votes will be announced on Gala day at 8pm at the White Lion pub.
On Saturday 15th there will be a variety of stalls and events at venues around Kildwick and Farnhill during the daytime.
These include St Andrew's Church, which will have stalls, an art exhibition, craft activities and church tours - as well as performances from Kildwick School Choir and TNG.
Coffee and Crumbs will host live entertainment in the afternoon from local singers April Elizabeth and Ally & Joe, while the White Lion pub is putting on a Hog Roast and live outdoor performances in the evening by Jacob White and acoustic duo Ally & Joe.
Farnhill Institute will showcase the work of the local history group with refreshments also on offer.
Yorkshire Dales Ice Creams will be in the church yard and the Pendle Witch Sweet Boat will be on the canal above the church.
Two other local cafes - The Crag & Coffee and Canal Side Cafe - have also announced they're teaming up to have a stall at Kildwick church green for the Gala.
