Families in Skipton will be able to access free breakfasts for children during school holidays as part of a nationwide initiative launched by Morrisons in partnership with Kellogg’s.
The scheme, known as “Breakfast Clubs”, is being extended to run throughout every school holiday this year in Morrisons cafés across England, Scotland and Wales. This includes the Morrisons store in Skipton, where families can visit the café during holiday periods.
Under the offer, visitors can receive a free Kellogg’s breakfast, which includes a bowl of cereal and a portion of fruit.
Choices include Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies with dairy or non-dairy milk, along with an apple or banana.
The breakfast is available to both children and adults during the school holidays.
Simply say 'Kellogg's Breakfast' at the till in the Cafe and receive a bowl of Cornflakes or Rice Krispies.
Morrisons says the move follows research indicating that some parents experience additional financial pressure when schools close and term-time breakfast clubs are not operating.
The research found that some families report increased food costs and concerns about maintaining routine during holiday periods.
By extending the breakfast offer across all school holidays, the supermarket says it aims to provide a welcoming space where families can access a simple morning meal.
Alongside the breakfast initiative, Morrisons’ existing “Kids Eat Free” offer will continue in its cafés.
Under that scheme, one child aged 16 or under can receive a free meal and drink when accompanied by an adult who purchases a main meal costing more than £5 from selected menus.
The breakfast offer is available daily during official school holiday dates, while the Kids Eat Free promotion runs year-round in participating cafés. Families in Skipton are advised to check details locally before visiting.
