Skipton Musical Theatre Company has announced that its 2026 production will be Little Shop of Horrors.
The show, set to be performed in October 2026, follows the story of Seymour, a quiet florist who discovers an unusual plant with a growing appetite. As the plant becomes larger and begins to demand more from him, Seymour finds himself caught in an increasingly chaotic situation on Skid Row. The production features several well-known musical numbers, including Skid Row (Downtown), Somewhere That’s Green, Suddenly, Seymour and Feed Me (Git It), alongside other songs that have become audience favourites since the show’s original release. Skipton Musical Theatre Company will release further details over the coming months, including audition registration, ticket information and confirmed performance dates. This darkly funny musical comedy follows Seymour, a shy florist who discovers a strange and mysterious plant with a taste for blood. As the plant grows, so do Seymour’s problems—along with the chaos on Skid Row! The group’s announcement signals the start of preparations for what is expected to be one of its major productions for 2026.
