Run Bolton Abbey to return to Skipton this November

Run Bolton Abbey 2025 is set to return this autumn.

The event will bring runners from across the region to the historic Bolton Abbey Estate near Skipton on 9th November from 9am-2pm.

The event, which has become a popular fixture in the local sporting calendar, offers a choice of distances including a 10k, 10-mile and half marathon, as well as shorter routes suitable for families and those new to running.

Organisers say the routes are designed to showcase the natural beauty of Wharfedale, taking participants through the trails, woodlands and riverside paths of the Bolton Abbey Estate.

The event attracts both club runners and those running for charity, with many local participants coming from Skipton and the surrounding villages.

Run Bolton Abbey has built a reputation as a friendly and inclusive race, and the 2025 edition is expected to draw hundreds of entrants.

Local businesses in Skipton and nearby areas are also set to benefit, with runners and supporters making a day of the event by visiting shops, cafés and restaurants after the race.

Funds raised will go towards supporting Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope, which provides specialist palliative care to patients from Skipton and the wider district.

Entry for the event is now open, and runners are being encouraged to sign up early to secure their places.
