DRake and Macefield butchers located in Skipton, recently provided nursery children with new books.
The butchers on Otley Street sponsored Otley Street Community Nursery School so they could receive brand new Usborne books.
Following this, the children paid a visit to Drake & Macefield Butchers this week to deliver a handmade thank-you card, expressing their appreciation after the business kindly sponsored a set of Usborne books all about food.
A spokesperson for the group said the children were “delighted to hand over the card” and wanted to offer “a BIG thank you to Drake & Macefield for their generosity.”
Drake & Macefield, is a long-established family-run butcher business based on Otley Street in Skipton.
Alongside fresh meat, they offer award-winning pies, sausages, cured meats and ready-to-cook meals.
Over the years, the business has been recognised through local and national awards, including Great Taste Awards and Smithfield accolades.
The Skipton shop, located at 11 Otley Street, remains a key part of the town’s high street and an active supporter of community initiatives—something reflected in its recent sponsorship of children’s educational resources.
