A community music festival is set to return to Embsay this spring, bringing together live performances, food and family activities in support of two charities.
Embsay Festival will take place on Saturday, May 9th at Manby Castle.
First held in 2024, the event features a line-up of local bands and musicians alongside food stalls and entertainment for all ages.
This year’s programme includes performances from R N G, Kirsty Brannan, The Gatsbys, Hazjaks, Bluesouls, Stage Minus and Huxter Hobos, a country band travelling from Scotland.
Alongside the music, visitors can expect activities such as face painting, a bouncy castle, an ice cream van and a beer tent serving locally brewed Wharfedale beer.
Food will also be a central part of the event.

Oakley’s is set to run a large barbecue, while the Omari family will host an Afghan pop-up offering dishes including kebabs, lamb kofta, salads and flatbreads.
All profits from the festival will go to Manorlands and Support for Chimombo, a charity working to fund the construction of a secondary school in Malawi. Last year’s event raised around £4,000 for the two causes.
Event organiser Jenny Barron said:
“These are amazing charities – one local that everyone has heard of and one less well-known, but it’s close to my heart, as I visited the country, one of the poorest in the world last year.
“The festival offers great value family fun with adult tickets costing £10 and kids get in for free.
"And with the vendors and produce coming from local suppliers, we aim to support local businesses and musicians.”
Tickets for Embsay Festival are available online via Eventbrite here and from Embsay Village Shop.
