Engineering works on the railway this weekend will mean direct trains will run between Skipton and Ilkley - more than 60 years after the line closure.
Direct trains between Skipton and Ilkley last ran regularly in 1965 when the line connecting the two towns via Addingham and Bolton Abbey was closed to passenger services.
Northern say: "Engineering works is taking place between Shipley and Bradford Forster Square on Saturday, and between Leeds/Guiseley and Bradford Forster Square/Keighley on Sunday, closing all lines."
Services between Skipton and Leeds will run as normal.
Changes to services both Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April:

Buses will replace trains between Shipley and Bradford Forster Square.

Trains between Leeds and Skipton will additionally call at Kirkstall Forge and Apperley Bridge.

Trains between Leeds and Bradford Forster Square will not run.

Trains between Bradford Forster Square and Ilkley will run between Skipton and Ilkley instead.
The first direct service between Ilkley and Skipton will run at 05;44 on Saturday and take 53 minutes. The final Saturday service will depart Ilkley at 22:51. Skipton to Ilkley trains start at 06:04, with the last train running at 22:56.
