Skipton will hold its annual Remembrance Day Parade on Sunday 9th November 2025.
Residents are invited to gather on Skipton High Street from 10:30am to honour those who have served in the armed forces. The parade is scheduled to set off from Bunkers Hill at approximately 10:40am. Participants will march along Newmarket Street and onto the High Street, where a Remembrance service will take place. The service is expected to feature a eulogy, wreath laying and words of reflection delivered by Holy Trinity Church, with musical accompaniment from Skipton Brass. Following the ceremony, the parade will return to Bunkers Hill via Otley Street, with an estimated finish time of around 12:00pm. To support the event, temporary road closures will be in place between 9:00am and 1:00pm across High Street, Bunkers Hill, Otley Street and Newmarket Street. Parking will be suspended on the upper section of the High Street, and access to the Town Hall car park will be unavailable from early morning until the parade concludes. The event forms part of the nationwide observance of Remembrance Day, when communities come together to pay tribute to servicemen and women past and present.
