Christmas tree farm in Steeton celebrates 40 year anniversary

Hawkcliffe Farm Christmas Trees is celebrating 40 years in business this festive season.

The farm’s Christmas tree shed will open on Friday, November 21st, offering a range of trees for customers across the area.

The site will be open daily from 9.30am to 6.30pm until stock sells out, continuing a long-standing tradition that has made the farm a regular destination for many families during the run-up to Christmas.

The tree farm, which began as a small family venture in the mid-1980s, has grown into a well-known seasonal destination, attracting repeat customers who return each year for its selection of real fir trees.

The farm produces a variety of traditional Christmas tree species, including Nordmann fir and Norway spruce, and is known for offering trees in a wide range of sizes to suit households, businesses, and community displays.

Over the decades, Hawkcliffe Farm has focused on sustainable growing practices, with many trees planted years in advance to ensure a consistent supply each Christmas season.

To mark the anniversary, Hawkcliffe Farm is also running a competition on its social media page, where followers can enter for the chance to win a six-foot Christmas tree and a fir wreath.
