The former Keelham Farm Shop in Skipton is set to re-open in the new year after it was sold for £2.2m.
The former 'Keelham Farm Shop' property closed at the end of 2023 and fell into administration in January 2024.
Today the new owners and Watling Real Estate, who were marketing the site, confirmed the sale to Robertshaw’s Farm Shop Ltd, which plans to re-open the premises as a farm shop and restaurant.
The new owners, Robertshaw’s Farm Shop, which will be its new name, have said today:
"We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully acquired a new site in Skipton, with plans to open in early 2025. This expansion represents a significant milestone for Robertshaw’s and presents exciting opportunities for growth and development.
"Here at Robertshaw's we are commitment to delivering exceptional products, outstanding customer service, and upholding our core values will continue to be at the forefront of everything we do. We are a family run business and we have been trading since 1929. We are 4th generation farmers and butchers, and this shows in the quality of our products and the awards that we have won. Since our rebrand 4 years ago, we have gone from strength to strength. We have an onsite butchers and deli, where we make our own sausages, burgers and our amazing pies. We have also bought a large offsite bakery so we could increase production of our delicious baked goods.
"Our owner James Robertshaw is passionate about providing good quality, local produce at an affordable price. He also loves supporting local producers, working with over 400 local farmers and he can be regularly found at Skipton Auction Mart.
"James, along with his family and our fabulous team at Thornton are working hard to get the new venture up and running and will open in early 2025 under the name of Robertshaw’s Farm Shop."
