Nicola Wheeler from Silsden is no stranger to fundraising to the hospital as she has hosted many fundraising events over the last couple of years.
Nicola has hosted BBQs, themed evenings and braved the shave in a bid to raise funds.
Her efforts were recognised when she won ‘Fundraiser of the Year’ in the Telegraph & Argus 2023 Community Stars Awards.
In her most recent annual fundraising BBQ event, her family and friends came together to help the cause.
Together they raised £3179.10 bringing Nicola’s fundraising total overall to £8835.49.
Nicola works at M&S in Ilkley and has held many fund raising events in the store.

She has shown a huge commitment to fundraising for HODU. Her determination and excitement to take on new challenges is truly inspiring.
She added,
“It’s because of people like Nicola that we’re able to make a difference to our patients, visitors and colleagues.
We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!”
