Your Skipton will soon be available on DAB digital radio across South Craven.
Today Ofcom has awarded a small-scale DAB licence covering Skipton, Ilkley and Keighley.
It means you’ll be able to hear Your Skipton in the car and on all digital radio sets.
Your Skipton presenter Nick Hancock said it’s great news:
“Everywhere we go from the Santa Fun Run to Skipton Sheep Day people ask ‘when will you be on proper radio?’ and now we’re on our way to DAB!”
“We know from our streaming stats our audience is growing every day so it’s great to be able to share this exciting news today that people will be able to hear us in their cars soon.”
He added:
“This is also good news for local businesses as their adverts will reach even more people!
"I’d also like to thank David and the team at Drystone for working with us to get Your Skipton onto DAB”.
The multiplex for South Craven, Wharfedale and the Worth Valley has been awarded to Aire Wharfe DAB Ltd which is led by community radio station Drystone Radio.
