Greystones Garden, located in Cross Hills has raised £403.20 for Airedale Hospital & Community Charity over the last year.
Stephen’s sunken garden is home to a variety of climbing and herbaceous shrubs and perennials, water features, an alpine rockery, small trees and a walkable rose border. Every year, Stephen selects a Charity to donate funds raised from his garden to and has so far raised over £1000.
The garden is open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11.00am – 4.00pm for all to enjoy and viewings can be booked directly with Stephen on 07967 807 108. If you fancy a cup of tea on your visit, this can also be booked in to enjoy.
Stephen Clemence said:
“I really enjoy welcoming people into the garden and seeing the inspiration take hold when they see it, especially when they realise the space is only 12x11m.
“I’d like to thank all the visitors who have spent time admiring and enjoying the garden and coming with me on this fundraising journey, in particular Colleen and Cath for their continued support of the garden. I’m overjoyed that with everyone’s support over the last few years we have now raised over £1000 for some amazing causes.”
After raising funds for Perennial, Sight Airedale and Airedale Hospital & Community Charity, Stephen and his wonderful garden will be supporting Haworth RDA over the course of the next year.
Laura Turner, Communications and Charity Assistant said:
“We’re so grateful to Stephen and his visitors for their generous donations. The garden is such a beautiful space, it’s hard to imagine what awaits you when you step into it.
“It’s such an incredibly selfless act and we can’t thank Stephen enough for choosing Airedale to raise funds for. We wish him and the garden all the best for the future.”
