Craven Community Boxing Club hosted their first boxing show last Saturday (24th)
Skipton recently hosted a local boxing event titled Clash in Craven, organised by the Craven Community Boxing Club and held at the Skipton Hotel on Saturday 24th January 2026.
The event featured a full fight card with a number of local boxers competing across a series of bouts.
Organisers say the show brought fighters, supporters and sponsors together for a day and evening of competitive boxing, with attendees from across the area taking part in or watching the matches.
The event was supported by local sponsors, including Vevo Lighting and Michael’s Gutter Cleaning.
In the build-up to the show, participants completed weigh-ins and final preparations ahead of their bouts, and organisers shared updates with the community via social media.
The main event saw the club's own Ben Bainbridge vs Callan Appleby.
Ben lost by judges decision.
The Clash in Craven event is part of local efforts to develop interest in boxing and provide a platform for amateur fighters to compete in front of a local audience.
The show held a raffle with prizes from various local businesses such as Coniston Hotel, Skipton Hotel and Althams Travel.
