The Principal Trust Children’s Charity has thanked staff at Skipton Building Society and Brougham Street Community Nursery School.
The charity thanked them for supporting a recent bake sale held at the organisation’s head office in Skipton.
Colleagues at Skipton Building Society, along with volunteers and supporters, helped raise £650 at the event.
The total includes match funding from the building society.
Brougham Street Community Nursery School and a team of volunteers contributed baked goods for the sale, and additional support was provided on the day by local volunteers.
The charity says the amount raised is enough to fund a free week-long respite break for a child and their family experiencing adverse childhood experiences.
They shared their praise via Facebook saying:
“A special shoutout to Brougham Street Community Nursery School and our incredible volunteers who baked up a storm, and to Linda Lewis for generously giving her time to support Lauren on the day.
“Thanks to everyone’s amazing efforts, and SBS for match-funding the event raised an incredible £650!”
This can include families affected by mental health challenges, trauma, abuse, poverty, serious illness or disabilities.
The Principle Trust operates a 100 per cent donations policy, meaning all funds raised go directly towards providing respite breaks for children and families across Yorkshire.
