Silsden’s Thursday Club is celebrating its fourth birthday today.
The club will celebrate with an afternoon of games, cake and social activities.
The milestone will be marked during one of the group’s regular meetings, with members invited to enjoy light refreshments and a celebratory cake complete with candles.
The Thursday Club was set up to provide a welcoming space for people in the community to come together, socialise and take part in activities.
The club is designed to be accessible for those with mobility issues, memory loss and those facing social isolation.
Meetings typically include games, quizzes, music, and opportunities for members to chat and make new friends.
The aim is to offer a relaxed and supportive environment and encourage community spirit.
Over the past four years, the club has become a regular fixture in Silsden, attracting both long-standing and newer members.
Organisers say the birthday gathering will be a chance to celebrate everything the group has achieved while also looking forward to future meetings.
The Thursday Club meets every week at Silsden Methodist Church Hall from 2pm to 4pm.
Anyone interested in joining is welcome to come along, with a small fee charged to cover refreshments and running costs.
